Five & Eric D-Lux
Long before the digitalization of the DJ occured, Eric Dlux was dragging vinyl and turntables all over Southern California. Born and raised in the Los Angeles area, D-lux first discovered his passion for the turntables at the age of sixteen. Whether it was a wedding or a house party Dlux was determined to succeed and took every opportunity to improve his craft. In 2002 he joined the popular Los Angeles hit radio station Power 106’s promotional street team. It wasn’t long before his tireless work paid off. In 2004, Dlux was offered the opportunity to take over the Los Angeles airwaves on Power 106. For the next 11 years an estimated 2.8 million Los Angelenos would be hearing Eric Dlux on their radios. Having a number one radio show in one of the U.S’s largest markets and busiest time slots brought Dlux a variety of opportunities that once upon a time seemed unfathomable. From putting together the Notorious B.I.G Tribute set in P.Diddy’s Dirty Money Coming Home Tour to becoming the face of brands like Ciroc and Dr. Pepper, his talent and uncanny ability to energize any audience elevated his career to greater heights.
If DJ 5ive isn’t at the turntables, you’ll find him at the poker tables. This 24/7 machine found the perfect home in Sin City by way of Cerritos, CA, where he brings impeccable mixing, a vast knowledge of music, and a love for Hip Hop that is unrivaled. He’s been voted the #1 DJ in Las Vegas, and you’ll find DJ 5ive at all the hot spots – as well as in New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles and beyond. He once said “I can smoke, drink, text message, dance, mix, and cut all at once” – which doesn’t leave any time for sleep. Not that he’s ever needed it.
